President Isaac Herzog visited Astana in April as Kazakhstan moved to join the Abraham Accords, and President Donald Trump pressed Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Pakistan toward peace with Israel. Accords officials meeting in New York in September welcomed Kazakhstan's forthcoming accession. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi on September 27, and a senior Saudi official denied reports that Saudi and Israeli officials met during the visit.
