Herzog Backs Firm U.S. Iran Response and Calls for Saudi Peace

President Isaac Herzog said Iran’s repeated violations show that agreements with Tehran cannot be trusted, and he welcomed the firm U.S. military response as a signal that Iran must return to an exit path from the war. In an interview with an Arab broadcaster, Herzog said any Israel-U.S. disagreements are tactical and that close dialogue continues. He called peace with Saudi Arabia his dream, voiced respect for Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and said dialogue between Jerusalem and Mecca should embody Jews and Muslims living together in the region. Herzog said he hopes to meet Saudi leaders officially in time.
