Regev Confirms Israel Sent Iron Dome to UAE

On July 5, Transportation Minister and security-cabinet member Miri Regev confirmed on Army Radio that Israel transferred Iron Dome batteries to the United Arab Emirates during the war with Iran to protect Emirati civilians from aerial threats. Prime Minister Netanyahu had ordered an Iron Dome battery, interceptors and several dozen IDF operators sent in April after a call with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed. U.S. envoys later publicly confirmed the system's use. The disclosure underscores the Abraham Accords' security value: Israeli defenses saved lives against Iran and deepened a pro-Western regional camp.
