Regev Confirms Israel Sent Iron Dome to UAE
Israel National News reported July 5 at 08:29 IDT that Transportation Minister and security-cabinet member Miri Regev confirmed on Army Radio that Israel transferred Iron Dome batteries to the United Arab Emirates during the war with Iran to protect Emirati civilians from aerial threats. Jerusalem Post, ynet and Israel Hayom reported in April that Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered an Iron Dome battery, interceptors and several dozen IDF operators sent after a call with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed. Times of Israel later reported that U.S. envoys publicly confirmed the system's use. The disclosure underscores the Abraham Accords' security value: Israeli defenses saved lives against Iran and deepened a pro-Western regional camp.
