Trump Says Israel Helped Saudi Arabia Against Houthis, Sees Normalization Prospects

Donald Trump said Friday that Israel had helped Saudi Arabia confront Yemen's Iranian-backed Houthis and that Saudi participation in the Abraham Accords was again under consideration. Speaking to reporters outside the White House, he said, "Israel has been very helpful to Saudi Arabia." Asked whether the kingdom should accept Israeli assistance against the Houthis, he said it should and that he believed it would. He also said Saudi Arabia welcomed Israeli and American support. Trump described normalization prospects as stronger than before but announced no agreement.
