Iranian authorities said early Wednesday that an American projectile struck near Hajiabad in Hormozgan province. The provincial government confirmed the impact after an earlier alert reported an explosion in the area. Officials said no civilian injuries or damage to residential or commercial infrastructure had been reported from the latest U.S. attacks in the province, including Hajiabad. The reports distinguished the new incident from a Tuesday strike on an environmental ranger post in the same county that killed three members of a ranger's family.
