U.S. Sanctions Seven People and Firms Over IRGC Weapons Procurement

The U.S. Treasury sanctioned four individuals and three companies across Iran, Russia, Nigeria and Italy, saying they formed an international network that sought weapons for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Treasury identified Iranian national Behrouz Namazi and his Nika Jet Company as the network’s hub, with foreign aviation, transport, financial and travel facilitators concealing Tehran’s role. The designations block U.S.-linked property and generally bar transactions involving those named. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the administration would keep disrupting procurement networks that fund Iran’s weapons programs and war machine.
