25th Knesset Concludes Legislative Work, First Full Term Since 1988

Israel’s 25th Knesset completed its final legislative session early Thursday and will enter an official election recess Friday ahead of the October 27 vote. It is the first Knesset since the 12th, elected in 1988, to complete a full four-year term. The final sitting closed a term marked by the October 7 attack, the ensuing regional wars, judicial disputes and repeated coalition crises. Parties will now begin campaigning for the 26th Knesset after five national elections between 2019 and 2022.
