Election Committee Launches Drive to Hire Thousands for October Vote

Israel's Central Elections Committee and Employment Service agreed to recruit and place thousands of job seekers for the October 27 Knesset election. Roles will include polling-station staff, logistics, technical support and administration, with recruitment expected to begin within about a week through a joint website and direct outreach. Officials said the drive will emphasize people with disabilities, evacuees and those affected by recent fighting. Reported gross pay is about NIS 2,700–3,000 for polling-station secretaries and about NIS 2,300 for election-integrity inspectors.
