Central Elections Committee Plans Protected Counting in Knesset Garage

The Central Elections Committee’s election preparations include counting in the Knesset’s protected underground parking garage to help maintain operations during missile alerts. Counting tables will have covers that can be folded quickly to preserve the state of an interrupted count, alongside camera oversight intended to safeguard election integrity. Dedicated control-room teams are also to monitor online messages for false voting instructions or attempts to discourage turnout. The committee said it was preparing for different scenarios in coordination with the police, Shin Bet and Home Front Command.
