Suspected Human Remains Found in Lifta Cave Near Jerusalem
Police are investigating suspected human remains found Thursday in a cave in the Lifta forest at Jerusalem's western entrance. Officers and forensic investigators sealed the area after a civilian reported seeing what appeared to be a skull, and several additional bones were located nearby. Authorities have not yet confirmed that the remains are human or determined their identity, age or how they reached the cave. No identifying objects were found at the scene, and the investigation remained open while forensic specialists examined the remains.
