Firefighters Bring All Northern District Wildfires Under Control

Israel Fire and Rescue said firefighters had brought all three significant Northern District wildfires under control by 17:50 Saturday, after blazes broke out near Shimshit, Kafr Vradim and Shibli. Twelve teams, four aerial firefighting planes and KKL crews had blocked the Shimshit fire from advancing toward homes; residents were no longer under evacuation orders. Eleven teams and two planes controlled the Kafr Vradim fire, while five teams and two planes fought the blaze near Shibli. Ten crews remained at the Shimshit forest to extinguish residual hotspots, and no danger to the community was reported.
