Israel Fire and Rescue investigators opened a joint probe with Israel Police and the IDF into the cause of the Havat Gilad wildfire on Saturday evening. The source said 41 firefighting and rescue teams were still working to suppress the final hotspots, prevent renewed flames and gain full control. Police kept the Jit, Kedumim and Yitzhar junctions closed to protect road users and preserve emergency routes. Several people had been evacuated with light injuries and one with moderate injuries, while an interagency assessment assigned responsibilities for the investigation, public safety and final containment.
