Chief Rabbinate Reports Record 6,000-Plus Registrations for Next Exams

The Chief Rabbinate reported that more than 6,000 candidates have already registered for its Marheshvan 5787 examination session, the highest total recorded for a single sitting. Hundreds took certification exams on Sunday, including dozens of IDF rabbis and soldiers in the military-rabbi track, alongside candidates in halakha, rabbinical judging, kashrut and other professional pathways. More than 13,000 examinees have participated since the start of 5786. Chief Rabbis David Yosef and Kalman Meir Ber encouraged the candidates, thanked exam staff and said the system is being streamlined to return results faster.
