Heavy Clashes Erupt in Aleppo Province Between Syrian Security Forces and Gunmen

Heavy clashes broke out Saturday night between armed men and security forces of Syria's interim government in Aleppo Province, according to a report published at 4:22 a.m. Israel time Sunday. The initial account did not identify the armed group, the security units involved, the exact location within the province or what triggered the fighting. It also did not report casualties, arrests, damage, evacuations or changes in territorial control. The provincial report followed earlier clashes and a curfew in Azaz, in Aleppo's northern countryside, but did not say whether the incidents were part of the same confrontation.
