Likud Committee Reapproves Netanyahu's Eight Reserved Slate Positions

In a court-ordered repeat session, the Likud Constitution Committee approved Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's revised primary framework by majority vote. The plan gives him eight reserved positions through the 33rd slot, assigns 24 places to nationwide voting, including six for women's representation, and pushes district positions from 34 onward. It also lets Netanyahu convene a five-mayor appointments committee if a wartime event brings Home Front Command gathering limits before the primaries. MK David Bitan's alternative failed and will not go to the Likud Central Committee, while the district court's interim order remains in force.
