Southern Command, led by Maj. Gen. Yaniv Asor, presented data showing that its fire center carried out about 300 targeted strikes in Gaza since Operation Roaring Lion began, killing more than 250 Hamas terrorists. The strikes were conducted with the Shin Bet, Military Intelligence and Israeli Navy intelligence. Around 60 members of Hamas's armed wing, including operatives from its elite naval Nukhba unit, were killed since June 15. The command's campaign targets Hamas efforts to rebuild governance and military capabilities, smuggle weapons, gather intelligence and observe Israeli forces along the Yellow Line.
