Train Service Gradually Resumes Near Be'er Yaakov After Brush Fire

Israel Railways said train service was gradually resuming in the Ashkelon, Rehovot, Be'er Yaakov, Yavne East, Lod and Rishon LeZion HaRishonim areas after a brush fire near the tracks. The fire had temporarily stopped trains between Lod, Rehovot and Ashkelon, and between Lod and HaRishonim, causing delays and schedule changes. Fire and Rescue said Rehovot crews gained control of the blaze near Ness Ziona after protecting railway infrastructure, completing extinguishing work and checking for further hotspots. The first restoration notices gave no timetable for full scheduled service and reported no railway damage or casualties.
