Court Sentences Minister's Adviser's Husband to 13 Months for Drug Trafficking

Rehovot Magistrate's Court sentenced Mor Biton, husband of former Social Equality Minister May Golan adviser Adi Hodfi-Biton, to 13 months in prison after his plea-deal conviction on drug offenses. Investigators found a cannabis grow lab with 78 plants and equipment at the couple's Yavne home. Reports said police also found 158 grams of cannabis divided among 20 bags in a government Skoda provided to his wife for her public role. The court declared Biton a drug trafficker and fined him NIS 12,000; prosecutors had sought 14 months, while the defense asked to avoid imprisonment.
