Ninth-Night U.S. Strikes Target Iranian Command and Missile Sites
U.S. Central Command said it completed a ninth consecutive night of strikes against Iran at 10 p.m. Eastern time Sunday. The command said its forces targeted Iranian military command centers, air-defense and coastal-surveillance sites, maritime capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and communications networks. CENTCOM said the operation aimed to further diminish Iran's ability to attack commercial vessels and civilian mariners in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran had not immediately reported casualties or damage from the overnight attacks, while Iranian media reported explosions in southern and northwestern parts of the country.
