Trump Says Netanyahu Will Not Be Arrested in the United States

President Donald Trump said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would not be arrested "in any way, shape, or form" while in the United States. The statement answered New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s announcement that his administration was examining whether it could arrest Netanyahu during the prime minister’s expected September visit for the UN General Assembly. Trump said Netanyahu was fighting Iran, which he accused of killing 52,000 protesters and Americans over 47 years. He said those who led Iran into what he called a spiral of death and destruction were the people who should be arrested.
