Foreign Ministry Selects Vivian Eisen as Colombia Ambassador
Israel's Foreign Ministry appointments committee selected Vivian Eisen to serve as ambassador to Colombia as the two countries prepare to restore full diplomatic relations. Eisen currently serves as Israel's nonresident ambassador to North Macedonia and previously held postings in London, Chile and the Israeli mission to the European Union in Brussels. The renewed ties are scheduled to take effect after President-elect Abelardo de la Espriella takes office on August 7, alongside reciprocal ambassador appointments and plans for a Colombian embassy in Jerusalem. The nomination still requires approval from the ministerial appointments committee and the cabinet.
