Golan Unveils Platform Pledging Term Limits and Judicial Rollback

Yair Golan unveiled the Democrats' election platform, pledging what he called fundamental change if the party joins Israel's next government. The program calls for term limits, repeal of legislation the party identifies with the judicial overhaul, and a Basic Law governing legislation. Golan also said the party would seek to bar criminal defendants from serving in government and strengthen the Knesset and separation of powers. The platform says senior security and civil-service officials should remain loyal to the law and the public interest.
