Herzog Warns of Domestic and Foreign Threats to Election Integrity
President Isaac Herzog said Shin Bet chief David Zini and Central Elections Committee chairman Justice Noam Sohlberg presented him with possible domestic and foreign threats to election integrity during a meeting about two weeks ago. Herzog said the three formed a united front and pledged support for the committee and security and law-enforcement agencies. He called on authorities to act firmly and efficiently against the threats and urged Israelis to use care with content consumed and shared on social media. Addressing candidates and activists, he said elections are not a civil war and warned them not to turn rivals into enemies.
