U.S. Opens Tenth Consecutive Night of Strikes Against Iran

U.S. Central Command said American forces began a tenth consecutive night of strikes against Iran late Monday. CENTCOM said the operation is intended to further degrade Iranian military capabilities used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital energy corridor whose traffic has largely stalled. The renewed bombardment followed Iranian attacks on U.S.-allied Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, while two American soldiers were killed in Jordan and another died in Iraq during disposal of a downed Iranian drone. No targets, casualty figures or completion time for the new wave were immediately announced.
