U.S. Starts Preparatory Aircraft Moves as Trump Weighs Broader Iran Strikes

Senior U.S. officials said President Donald Trump is expected to decide within days whether to expand military strikes against Iran and resume broader combat operations. They said no final White House determination has been made. U.S. Central Command is preparing to add F-16 and F-35 fighters and KC-135 refueling aircraft, with preliminary repositioning already underway and some tankers moving to Israel. Officials said a full-scale offensive would be far more intense than the targeted strikes conducted since July 7 and could extend to Tehran-area and nuclear sites that the current campaign has avoided.
