Iran Threatens Regional Power Cuts Under Eye-for-Eye Doctrine
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran's defense doctrine is "an eye for an eye," warning that any aggression against Iran, including its infrastructure, would prompt a forceful response. He said any party contributing assistance to such an attack would be considered a legitimate target. IRGC Aerospace Force commander Majid Mousavi separately warned that if the United States strikes Iranian power plants and bridges, Iran would cut electricity to Gulf states. The statements followed President Donald Trump's pledge to destroy one Iranian bridge or power plant for every Iranian attack on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
