Trump Says Iran Wants a Deal but Is Not Ready to Make One

U.S. President Donald Trump said at a rally in Marietta, Georgia, that Iran wants an agreement with Washington but is not ready to make one. He said Tehran repeatedly seeks to change agreements and predicted it would become ready soon. Trump also said the United States is winning its campaign against Iran and is acting to prevent the Islamic Republic from obtaining nuclear weapons. His remarks came as U.S. forces continued strikes on Iranian military targets and after he threatened further attacks if Iran keeps targeting commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
