U.S. Launches Eleventh Night of Strikes on Iranian Military Targets

U.S. Central Command began striking military targets in Iran at 7 p.m. ET Tuesday, opening an eleventh consecutive night of attacks. CENTCOM said the strikes are intended to further degrade Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian media reported air-defense systems activated over Tehran and explosions in the country's northwest, while the U.S. command had not yet identified the specific targets. The new wave follows repeated Iranian attacks on commercial vessels and U.S.-allied states as Washington and Tehran contest control of the strategic waterway.
