Hapoel Tel Aviv Set for First European Match in 12 Years

Hapoel Tel Aviv will play Ludogorets of Bulgaria on Thursday in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, the club’s first European fixture in 12 years. The Israeli side will stage its home leg at DVTK Stadium in Miskolc, Hungary, rather than at Bloomfield Stadium. About 5,000 supporters are expected, despite limited flights and high travel costs linked to the security situation. Because kickoff follows the end of the Tisha B’Av fast, the club and supporters are arranging food and drinks at the stadium for those who fasted, while fans are also organizing prayers and Torah reading in Budapest.
