IDF Announces Armored Training Shift to Brigades and Border Bases
The IDF announced that advanced armored training will move from Shizafon to operational brigades, while training bases will be deployed near Israel's southern, eastern and northern borders. Ground Forces Commander Maj. Gen. Nadav Lotan said the changes are intended to keep tank forces available for rapid response in every sector. He presented the plan at the change-of-command ceremony where Brig. Gen. Or Wolozhinsky replaced Brig. Gen. Ohad Maor as chief armored officer. Maor, who served for two and a half years, will become head of the Ground Forces Personnel Division.
