Adams and Pahlavi Present Mezuzahs for Future Israel-Iran Embassies

World Jewish Congress Israel president Sylvan Adams met Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi in Paris to discuss a free, democratic Iran and renewed ties between the Iranian and Jewish peoples. Adams presented two Jerusalem-stone mezuzahs containing scrolls handwritten by an Israeli scribe of Iranian descent. He said one was intended for a future Israeli embassy in Tehran and the other for a future Iranian embassy in Jerusalem. Pahlavi thanked Jews and Israelis for supporting Iranians seeking freedom, while Adams said he hoped to travel to Tehran and identify a prospective embassy site.
