Israel's Innovation Authority and Finance Ministry opened applications July 26 for a NIS 1 billion fast-track program for startups and early-growth companies whose runway was shortened by the shekel's appreciation. Eligible firms with less than 12 months of runway can seek grants covering 33% or 50% of approved support, capped at NIS 15 million, with matching finance from new equity, loans, SAFE agreements or other sources. Decisions are due within four weeks. The program targets firms spending NIS 1.5 million to NIS 100 million annually, with at least half devoted to research and development and at least half spent in Israel in shekels.
