Woman, 44, Moderately Hurt After Drowning at Neve Yam Beach

Magen David Adom said its Carmel District emergency center received a drowning report from Neve Yam Beach, south of Atlit, at 3:57 p.m. Sunday. Emergency medical technicians and paramedics treated a 44-year-old woman after the incident and prepared her for evacuation. She was fully conscious and in moderate condition when the crews transported her to Rambam Hospital. MDA published its public update at 4:56 p.m., less than an hour after the call reached the 101 dispatch center.
