Beersheba Deputy Mayor Indicted Over Two Gas Station Assaults

State prosecutors filed an indictment in Beersheba Magistrate's Court against Deputy Mayor Shimon Tuvol, accusing him of assaulting two workers at a gas station near Kfar Aza while he was serving in the reserves. Prosecutors say the September 2024 confrontation began after Tuvol demanded that one worker stop playing Arabic-language music from his car. The indictment alleges Tuvol struck and pushed the worker while raising his weapon, then shoved a second employee around the chin and throat. It charges him with two counts of assault; the allegations have not been adjudicated.
