Jerusalem District Police arrested a 58-year-old Kiryat Yearim resident on Monday on suspicion of possessing child sexual abuse material, police said Tuesday morning. Investigators from the district central unit's youth exposure section searched his home under a court order after receiving information that raised suspicion. Officers seized a laptop computer and mobile phone, which were transferred for forensic examination and extraction of digital evidence. The suspect was questioned, and police said they would ask the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court to extend his detention while the investigation continues; no indictment has been filed.
