The IDF said Tuesday that a precise airstrike in Khan Younis on Monday killed Muhammad Khalil Muhammad Aslam, a Palestinian Islamic Jihad Nukhba platoon commander. According to the military, Aslam commanded a terrorist cell that took part in abducting Israeli civilians during the October 7 massacre. The IDF said he had recently advanced attack plans against Israeli troops and civilians and presented an immediate threat. Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area under the current agreement and will continue acting to remove immediate threats, the military added.
