Qatar Rejects Bennett's IRGC Funding Charge as Disinformation

Qatar's embassy in Washington rejected Naftali Bennett's allegation that Doha funded Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, calling it disinformation intended to advance his political ambitions. Embassy media attaché Ali Al-Ansari said Qatar's regional mediation had been coordinated with Israeli authorities and was recognized by international partners. Bennett said earlier Monday that intelligence shown to him as prime minister indicated Qatari funding reached the IRGC, Hamas and the al-Nusra Front. The former prime minister also pledged to designate Qatar an enemy state if he returns to office after Israel's October 27 election.
