IDF Denies Chief Apologized to U.S. Over Katz's Iran-Flight Disclosure

An Israeli military official denied a report that IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir apologized to U.S. Central Command chief Adm. Brad Cooper after Defense Minister Israel Katz disclosed that American aircraft were taking off from Israel to strike Iran. The official said the report was incorrect and that Zamir had not spoken with Cooper since Katz's remarks. A conflicting account said CENTCOM objected that Katz exposed operational secrets and that Zamir was compelled to apologize. Katz had said Iran knew American aircraft and refuelers were departing from Israel for attacks.
