IDF Seeks Response to Hezbollah Drone Strike, Awaits Netanyahu Approval

The IDF is seeking political approval to respond to Hezbollah's explosive-drone strike on an unmanned engineering vehicle at the Ali Taher ridge in southern Lebanon. The military is considering Hezbollah tunnels on the ridge, where dozens of terrorists are trapped, as a possible target and is awaiting a decision from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The IDF said the overnight strike caused no casualties and called it a blatant ceasefire violation. Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir told troops in southern Lebanon that the army was prepared for rapid offensive action and could deepen operations if required.
