Published
Police arrested three Tamra residents, ages 17, 19 and 50, on suspicion of involvement in the July 7 killing of barber Yasser Abu al-Hija. The Northern District central unit made the arrests after its covert investigation became public, and police said investigators seized numerous pieces of evidence. Abu al-Hija was critically wounded when gunfire struck his barber shop and died shortly afterward; another man was seriously wounded. A court extended all three suspects’ detention through August 4 while the investigation continues.
