Netanyahu Denies Pressing Trump to Resume Iran Strikes

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu denied trying to persuade President Donald Trump to resume attacks on Iran during their Tuesday Oval Office meeting. He said the leaders openly assessed three options: a broader agreement with Tehran, continuing the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, or further military action, and that the final choice is Trump’s. Netanyahu said he remains skeptical of Tehran’s conduct but urged giving diplomatic and economic pressure a chance. He also described Israel as the junior partner in the alliance while saying he would continue defending Israel’s security interests.
