Police Probe Gunfire at Ashdod Event Hall; No Injuries Reported

Israel Police said Ashdod Station officers opened an investigation overnight after receiving a report of suspected gunfire directed at an event hall in the city. No one was injured in the incident. Patrol officers and forensic investigators reached the scene, began investigative actions and collected evidence in an effort to identify suspects. Police said the background was criminal; the initial statement did not identify the hall, specify whether damage was caused, or say how many shots were fired, and no arrests had been announced when the update was published at 08:30 IDT.
