Rafael’s SPYDER Hits Low-Signature Drones in Successful Trial

Rafael said its SPYDER air-defense system successfully intercepted multiple threats during a trial in Israel, including unmanned aerial vehicles with low radar signatures. The test used I-DERBY ER and I-DERBY LR missiles in scenarios simulating current and future threats, producing direct hit-to-kill engagements. The company said it incorporated system updates based on lessons from Israel's war and operational experience in other theaters. SPYDER is a mobile system built around PYTHON and I-DERBY missiles to protect strategic assets in stationary and mobile missions, and Rafael said Romania and the Czech Republic have selected the system for their air-defense arrays.
