Greek Patriot Battery Intercepts Two Houthi Missiles Over Saudi Arabia

Greek military personnel operating a Patriot battery in Saudi Arabia intercepted two ballistic missiles launched from Yemen toward oil refineries in Yanbu on Saturday. Greece’s defense command said the engagement occurred at 7:15 a.m. Greek time and defeated the attack completely, while Saudi Civil Defense had warned Yanbu residents of danger. The Greek unit has protected Saudi energy infrastructure under a bilateral deployment since 2021, and this was only its second operational interception. The Hellenic Force in Saudi Arabia said its mission continued normally after the engagement.
