Transport Ministry Says Goldknopf Failed to Report His Resignation

The Transportation Ministry told MK Naor Shiri that Yitzhak Goldknopf’s blue-light permit was issued on January 24, 2023, because he was then housing minister. It said Goldknopf was not authorized to use the permit after leaving office and that he had not notified officials of his June 2025 resignation. His driver was filmed using red and blue emergency lights while Goldknopf led a June 24 Haredi protest convoy over military-service enforcement for yeshiva students. Ministry rules require permit holders to report a change of vehicle or the end of their role; Goldknopf’s office declined to comment.
