U.S. Central Command said its forces completed a heavy wave of strikes against Iran in response to the previous day's attempted missile attacks on American forces in the Middle East. The two-hour operation hit dozens of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targets, including military command centers and missile and drone facilities. CENTCOM said coastal surveillance and defense sites and maritime capabilities were also struck. The renewed attack ended a five-day pause in the American bombing campaign and followed Iran's failed missile assault on a U.S. base in Jordan, where all incoming missiles were intercepted.
