Iran Claims Drone Strike on U.S.-Used Ahmad Al-Jaber Air Base

Iranian military statements said drones targeted aircraft shelters, satellite communications systems and equipment warehouses at Ahmad Al-Jaber Air Base in Kuwait on Friday. The statements described the base as a hub for U.S. air operations, surveillance and logistics. Tehran said the attack answered recent U.S. strikes on Iran and a strike on a residential house on Qeshm Island that Iranian reports said killed three relatives. U.S. Central Command and Kuwait had not immediately commented, leaving Iran's account of impacts unverified.
