Danon Says Israel Supports Trump Plan, Demands Hamas Surrender Weapons

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of a split-screen television interview with Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon seated before bookshelves and an Israeli flag opposite a studio presenter.

Ambassador Danny Danon said Israel supports President Donald Trump's 20-point Gaza plan and remains committed to implementing it. He said the sequence and mechanism could be resolved with mediators, but Israel would judge Hamas by its actions rather than its statements. Danon defined disarmament as the complete removal of weapons from Gaza and beyond Hamas's control, rejecting transfers between warehouses as cosmetic. Asked whether Trump should expect disappointment from Israel's response, Danon said no and maintained that Israel had complied with the agreement so far.
