Katz Says Israel Would Join Iran Strike if Trump Requests

Defense Minister Israel Katz said at a Jerusalem conference Friday that Israel would join a renewed strike on Iran if U.S. President Donald Trump requested its participation. Katz said Washington would need only to ask, while adding that he did not know whether the United States currently wanted Israeli involvement. Earlier reports said Israeli officials were prepared to assist U.S. strikes on request and were planning for the possibility that an expanding American campaign could bring Israel into the fighting. His statement publicly restated Israel's readiness as U.S.-Iran tensions continue.
