Nahariya Station Closes Friday for Desalination Project Work

Nahariya railway station closed to passenger service at 2 a.m. Friday for work connected to construction of the Western Galilee desalination plant. The temporary closure applies only on Friday, July 31, and began overnight between Thursday and Friday. Israel Railways said the work itself is not being performed by the railway company. The official notice identifies the desalination project as the reason for suspending service at Nahariya station for the day; it does not announce changes beyond Friday or describe the closure as permanent.
